Gaviota Beach, Ventura, CASaturday, January 7th, 2005 This is the only low tide for the month good for us. We will meet at the Gaviota County Beach (north of Santa Barbara) in the parking lot at 9:30am. There is a day fee to use the park. We will collect here and move south through other beaches on the way home. The daily use fee for the state parks/beaches is $8.00, but it is good for all beaches under state control, including Gaviota, Refugio, and El Capitan. Bring your lunch, something to put your rock in and probably a coat - it might be chilly! Pictures from the field trip.
