Yells At Drig
Stefan González (b.1985) is a 22-year-old drummer who studied Journalism for two years at Mountain View College.  He attended Arts Magnet High School in Dallas, studying mallets and percussion.  He also attended North Dallas High School where he studied Jazz, Mariachi, and Hispanic music.  He is the founder of his own hardcore/punk magazine and record label, FxTxFx Productions, and plays drums in Akkolyte, Yells At Eels, and his own hardcore punk group, Just Another Consumer.  He is working on his first CD as leader, with his harmolodic jazz trio Unconscious Collective – with guests Matt Lavelle, Carl Smith, Alvin Fielder, and Leena Conquest.  He also led a jazz orchestra in Mexico City  at Café Jazzorca in November 2006, and did a punk tour in Mexico and in the western US in the spring and fall of 2007 with the punk group Rat Salad.  He is also in the Portuguese jazz group Humanization Quartet, with whom he and his brother will tour in Europe in April of 2008.
Aaron González (b. 1980) is 27 and a bassist who worked with autistic adolescents at Hillcrest High School and North Dallas High School in Dallas for 3 years.  He studied English at Mountain View College and at The University of North Texas in Denton, Texas.  He worked as a bilingual (Spanish/English) ESOL aide at Greiner Middle School in Dallas.  He plays with the hardcore/punk duo Akkolyte with his brother, Stefan, and is also bassist for his father's Tejano/Norteña quartet, Banda de Brujos.  His latest project is his own punk/prog rock quartet, Life-Death Continuum.  He worked with Freebirds, and Zini’s in Dallas.  He is featured bassist on Alvin Fielder Trio’s newest recording on Clean Feed, A Measure of Vision.  His new record company is called Inner Realms Outer Realms Records.  The first release on his record label is by Yells At Eels and is titled Geografía.  He plays with the Portuguese jazz group Humanization Quartet.
Rodrigo Amado, born Lisbon, 1964;  he is one of the founders with the brothers Costa of Clean Feed Records, one of Europe's leading jazz record labels.  He has played saxophone since he was 17 years old. He also write jazz reviews for Lisbon's Jornal Publico newspaper.  He has released a series of exciting new CD's on his new label, European Echoes, featuring players such as Ken Filiano, Tomas Ulrich, Carlos Zingaro, Kent Kessler, and Paal Nilssen Love.  He leads the Lisbon Improvisation Players, with a shifting crew of musicians that includes Taylor Ho Bynum, Herb Robertson, Gerald Cleaver, and Adam Lane.  Amado is well-known for his work in photography as well, and is the only Portuguese musician to play the prestigious Calouste Gulbenkian Jazz Festival twice.
Dennis Gonzalez, born in Abilene, Texas, 1954; musician/composer, visual artist, broadcaster, writer, educator (teaches at Spence Middle School in Dallas), linguist, and world traveler, has lived in Dallas for the past 32 years.  Primarily a trumpet player, he plays and teaches strings, brass, and woodwinds, and specializes in the Mariachi instruments.  
He has played and recorded with Alvin Fielder, Kidd Jordan, Louis Moholo, Elton Dean, Keith Tippett, Sidsel Endresen, Nils Petter Molvaer, John Stevens, Dudu Pukwana, Charles Brackeen, Frank Lowe, Andrew Cyrille, Malachi Favors, Roy Hargrove, Fred Hopkins, Oliver Lake, Max Roach, Cecil Taylor, Henry Grimes, Ahmed Abdullah, Roy Campbell, Jr., Hamid Drake, Joe Morris, and Vinnie Golia,  In 2008, Yells at Eels celebrates its ninth year of existence.
