Late Night Designs' Awards were created to recognize sites demonstrating skillful use of graphics and site design. Please note the increasing levels of webmastery required for awards. All sites submitted will first be judged to be worthy of the Merit Award and will progress toward the Gold Site Award. If the site is disqualified at any level (according the the requirements detailed here), it will be awarded with the highest level award that it qualified at. It is important to note that all awards are given at the
discretion of Late Night Designs.

The GOLD SITE AWARD will be given to sites that dazzle me with graphical excellence and/or technical innovation. (If you use Java - it must work.) Original graphics are a plus, all others must give credit on the page where the graphics are used. Sites whose pages are crisp, clean, neat, and obviously in harmony with each other qualify for the Gold. Sites that make me jealous, and wonder, "How'd they do that?" will surely win.

The SILVER AWARD will be given to sites that are overall pleasing to the eye and easy to navigate. I must be able to view the entire site without wondering how to get where I want to be or how to get back. Navigation bars or buttons are a prerequisite - no hitting 'back' on the browser allowed. If I get stuck in your frames or can't turn your distracting music off ...no award...Sorry!

The BRONZE AWARD will be given to sites that immediately grab my attention with good color combinations/contrasts. I must be able to read your text without graphics or backgrounds distracting me. Blinking sentences or distorted text are a definate no-no. Sites consisting of all links and/or promotional buttons and banners are disqualified. Interesting and up to date subject matter that teaches me something new is a definate plus, but not a requirement!

The AWARD OF MERIT will be given to sites that I like for whatever reason I like it at the time I'm viewing it. I have a lot of interests, and I admit that I change my passions a lot!.....Yes, spelling and proper grammar counts. (If it is evident that you do not know the difference between there and their, you will not win.) All internal site links must be functional.
