Schedule / Location

EVENTS SCHEDULE (time and sequence subject to change depending on weather)

11:00 a.m. — Registration & Technical Inspection          
                                Entry Fee: $20 Adults, $10 Juniors
                                Open Track for Warm-ups
12:00 p.m. — Murphy 1K standing start 1kilometer (3 laps)
                       The best overall 1K time will win a yellow jersey
  1:30 p.m. ---Cheddar Lap Races
                       Depending on the number of racers in each class, we will    
                       probably break the event into  races;
                                              Trikes:    15 laps(see below),
                           Tandem and Juniors:   25 laps,
                                            Unfaired:   50 laps,
                                               Faired: 100 laps
       
                       The top places in each class wins some Wisconsin
                          cheese and cash
                       Plus teams* compete for the Cheddar Cheese trophy

                      Trikes will be able to use the flat, inside apron of track for
                          their lap race.

  5:00 p.m. — Awards Presentation
        The HPRA series points will be awarded for the 1K and Lap events.

                       *Virtual Teams: as an added feature for the lap races, anyone interested can sign up as four racer teams at registration, and we will see which team can rack up the most points from the placing of its racers in the lap races. Racers can be from any combination of classes, but can not be on more than one team, unless they race in a different class for each team.

LOCATION---HOW TO GET THERE

Washington Park Velodrome is located in Kenosha, WI  about 10 miles north of the
Illinois /Wisconsin border near Lake Michigan
FROM I-94 NORTH OR SOUTH.
•    Take HWY 142/S exit to Kenosha (East). HWY 142(HWY S) will become    
    Washington Road.
•    Turn Right onto 22nd Ave, and make an immediate left turn into    
    Washington Park.
•    The intersection with 22nd Ave. has a stoplight with a firestation and a golf
    course at the corners.
