Schedule

Thursdays:
Thursday evening classes will be Journey Without Goal: An Introduction to Vajrayana. Based on a series of lectures given by Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche at The Naropa Institute in 1974, this course introduces the student to the principles of trantra, based on the practice of meditation, which leads to the discovery of egolessness. The course will utilize video tapes from the lecture series, as well as readings from the book "Journey Without Goal, The Tantric Wisdom of Buddhism" by Chogyam Trunpa. For more information contact Robert Walker at dharmagroup@aol.com.

There will be no Thursday evening class on Thursday, April 17.

Our next Thursday meeting will be April 24.

There will be no Sunday class on Sunday, April 20 and no regular class on Sunday, April 27.

Our next Sunday meeting will be May 4.

Saturday and Sunday, April 26-April 27
Shambhala Sacred Path: Great Eastern Sun

This weekend program teaches how to see the Great Eastern Sun, the primordial energy and brilliance that is the basis of all that exists; an introduction to membership in Shambhala—a living context for building a sane society.
Prerequisite: Shambhala Training Levels 1-5.
(There will be another Great Eastern Sun program on May 24-25).

Saturday and Sunday, May 10-11
Shambhala Training Level 1: The Art of Being Human

9:30am-5pm Saturday; 8:30am-4:30pm Sunday.
900 Peeler St., Kalamazoo, MI
Shambhala Training is a series of contemplative workshops suited for both beginning and experienced meditators. It is about how to establish and sustain a path of mindfulness-awareness meditation as the basis for our approach to livelihood, family, education, politics, and community. The schedule will include sitting and walking mindfulness meditation instruction, meditation practice, talks by the director, and group discussions. There will also be short individual consultations with an experienced instructor — an opportunity to address questions about meditation practice or the application of these teachings in our lives. Originally developed by Chögyam Trungpa, Rinpoche — a great Tibetan Buddhist teacher — these workshops are designed for and have benefited individuals who practice various spiritual traditions and secular ways of life.
Fee: $100 ($75 students, $10 discount for pre-registration with $25 deposit by May 3). To register contact: Robert Walker at 269-384-4167 or email dharmagroup@aol.com.

For more information on any of the classes or if you'd like meditation instruction call 269-384-4167 or email dharmagroup@aol.com
