DVD and VCD
Why DVD or VCD? In the case of the DVD the
reasons are many. DVD offers the highest quality playback for both images and
audio available to the consumer today. And, along with that quality there is
durability. With reasonable care, such as you would give a regular CD, a DVD, or
VCD, should last a lifetime!

Any tape format (or printed picture) begins to deteriorate as
soon as it is copied... the colors fade and the image becomes noisy and
un-watchable after several years. Plus, tape formats are mechanical in
nature and are subject to jams and damage.
Unlike any tape format or printed picture, the DVD or VCD will not
only last a lifetime... but the last play will be as perfect as the
first!
Directed By You!(TM)
uses the latest MPEG-2 (DVD
quality) technology to capture and store the video in your presentation. After editing
the entire project is rendered in MPEG-2, formatted and authored, adding the necessary title
pages and chapter points. Up to ten title pages with up to ninety-nine
chapter points can be authored into a DVD production while a VCD is
limited to one title page and ten chapter points.
Resolution of the DVD is about 425 lines while the VCD is roughly equivalent
to standard VHS tape at 240 lines (VHS is 230 lines of resolution). The
lower cost of the VCD makes it a good alternative to Standard VHS tapes!
