Elias GRADY was born on July 25, 1829 in Rockingham County, VA. He is the son of Dennis GRADY and Melvina VANCE. He married Susan Martha BOWEN on Dec. 24, 1851 in Lewis County, WV. She is the daughter of James BOWEN and Nancy KEMPER. He fought in the Civil War in Jackson, Lewis, Roane, Calhoun, Wood and finally ended up in Columbiana County Ohio. Susan Martha BOWEN was born on July 3, 1833 in according to a source, Orange County, VA (it may be Farquier Co. VA). He moved around a lot until his final residence. He died on June 11, 1907 in Columbiana County, Ohio. Susan Martha BOWEN GRADY died on June 12, 1911 in Wellsville, Columbiana County, Ohio. They had several Children. They are both burried in Mount Olive Cemetary on Gay Road in Jackson County, WV. Thier Children were:
(1)James F. GRADY, born IN around March 1852. He married 1. Susan RUNNION AYLOR on May 4, 1876 in Gilmer county, WV. 2. Mary Ann Myers on August 8, 1896 in Jackson county, WV.
(2)William Columbus "Lumb" GRADY, born about 1857. He married Julia Ann MASON.
(3)John Dixon GRADY, born on February 6, 1858 in Roane County WV. He married Jerusha Kathryn PERRINE.
(4)Elias R. GRADY, born April 10, 1860 in Roane County, WV. He married Roxy Ann MYERS on September 5, 1891 in Jackson County, WV. He died in 1909 in Ripley, WV.
(5)Rebecca E.Dean GRADY "Becky", born on May 16, 1865 in Calhoun County, WV. She married Evert L. PARSONS on April 16, 1890 in Jackson county, WV. Rebecca Grady parsons died 1940-1941 in Conway, Horry county, SC.
(6)Sampson "Samps" GRADY, born in about 1867 in Wood County, WV. He married Susan R. WILLIAMSON on August 2, 1894. Sampson died in 1949.
(7)Mary Susan GRADY, born in 1871. She married Micheal MYERS.
(8)Annie L. GRADY, born in 1875. She married Perry H. PARSONS on December 29, 1894 in Jackson County, WV.
(9)Alice "Allie" GRADY, born in 1878. She married William Craighton BENSON on December 8, 1895 in Jackson County, WV.
(10)Carrie Elizabeth GRADY, born on October 28, 1878 in Wood County, WV. She married Ira Alvin PARSONS July 12, 1900 in Jackson County, WV. Carrie Elizabeth GRADY died on February 14, 1936 in Akron, Summit County, Ohio.
(11)Aaron Moses GRADY, born on July 4, 1881 in Wood County, WV. He married (1)Clara J. SAYLOR on June 16, 1903 in Jackson County, WV. Clara SEYLOR died in 1912. He married (2)Mary Blanche DUSKEY on October 15, 1912. Aaron Moses GRADY died on May 28, 1968 in Wood County, WV.

Aaron Moses GRADY was born on July 4, 1881 in Wood County, WV. He married (1)Clara SAYLOR on June 16, 1903. They had 2 children that died at birth, but none lived. Clara SEYLOR died on October 5, 1912. He married (2)Mary Blanche DUSKEY, on October 15, 1912. She was the daughter of William M. DUSKEY and Floreed SMITH. Aaron Moses GRADY died on May 28, 1968 in Wood County, WV. Mary Blanche DUSKEY GRADY died on August 24, 1974 in Pomeroy, Meigs County, Ohio. They had the following children:
(1)Rachel Elizabeth GRADY, born on October 30, 1914. She married Roscoe Knight. Rosoe Knight died on July 15, 1990. Rachael died on February 19, 2004 in Parkersburg, Wood County, WV.
(2)Ruth N. GRADY, born on December 29, 1915. She married Benjamen Harrison SMITH on September 16, 1933
(3)Emma GRADY, Born on April 2, 1917. She married Johnson Scarberry. She died in 1997.
(4)Luda Gladys GRADY, born on January 9, 1919 in Wood County, WV. She married Clark Chester ARNOTT in 1935. Clark Chester ARNOTT died on August 28, 1967 in Wood County, WV.
(5)Wanda GRADY, born on July 25, 1921. She married Ivan POWELL.
(6)Wanetta GRADY, born on August 16, 1923. She died as a child.
