Materials:
Macrame cord. 100 yards red, 100 yards navy, 50 yards light blue, 50 yards white. (Or colors of your choice) Note: Carols Rugs has macrame cord for sale at reasonable prices.
Crochet hook size P.
Finished size: 32” diameter.
With red, ch 5, join with sl st to form a ring.
Rnd 1- Ch 4, (counts as 1st dc, plus ch 1). Dc ch 1 in ring 7 times, join in 3rd ch of beg ch 4.
Rnd 2- Sl st in 1st ch 1 space, ch 4, 2 tr in same space, sc in next dc, * 3 tr in next ch 1 space, sc in next dc* rep from * around, join in 4th ch of beg ch 4. Finish off.
Rnd 3- Join white with a sl st in 2nd tr of any 3 tr group, ch 1, sc in same space, ch 2, hdc in next sc, Ch 2, sc in 2nd tr of next 3 tr group, ch 2, hdc in next sc* rep from * around, join with a sl st in beg sc.
Rnd 4- Sl st in 1st ch 2 space, ch 3, 2 dc in same space, 3 dc in each ch 2 space* rep from * around, join in 3rd ch of beg ch 3.
Rnd 5-Ch 4, (counts as 1st dc plus ch 1) *Dc, ch 1 in each dc* rep from * around, join in 3rd ch of beg ch 4. Finish off.
Rnd 6- Join light blue with a sl st at top of any dc, ch 3 (counts as first dc). *Dc in next ch 1 st and in next dc*,rep from * around. Join with a sl st to top of beg ch 3.
Rnd 7- ch 1, sc in same space. *Ch 2, skip next dc and sc in next dc *, rep from * around. Finish off.
Rnd 8- Join red with a sl st in any ch 2 space, chain 3 (ch 3 counts as first dc). Dc in same space. * 2 dc in next ch 2 space* (forms a cluster) rep from * around. Finish off.
Rnd 9- Join white in any space between 2 clusters with a sl st. *Ch 2, and sl st in between the next two clusters* rep from * around. Finish off.
Rnd 10- Join navy with a sl st in any ch 2 space. Ch 3 (counts as first dc). Dc in same ch 2 space. * 2 dc in next ch 2 space* rep from * around, join with sl st to top of first ch 3.
Rnd 11- ch 3, (counts as first dc) *Dc in top of next dc* rep from * around. Join with sl st to top of beg ch 3. Finish off.
Rnd 12- Join red with a sl st in between any two dc (do not join to top of stitch). Ch 3 (counts as first dc) 2 dc in next space, *1 dc in each of next two spaces, 2 dc in next space * rep from * around. 1 Dc in last space. Join with a sl st to top of beg ch 3. Finish off.
Rnd 13- Join navy with a sl st at the top of any dc, ch 1. sc at top of every dc around, join with a sl st to beg ch 1.
Rnd 14- *Ch 2, skip one sc and sl st in next sc* rep from * around. Join with a sl st to beginning and finish off.
Weave in all ends.
