Dear Neighbor,
My name is Donnie Price and I am writing to you, first to introduce myself as a candidate for the Melbourne Beach Commissioner at Large seat to be decided at the November election and personally to share with you my reasons for seeking office. The campaign flyer above tells you a little about my background and experience.
I have lived in Melbourne Beach with my beautiful wife Jean for the past ten years. I am the father of three and the grandfather of nine. I am presently serving our town as a member of the Board of Adjustment and have served as the President of the Volunteer Fire Department and as an active fire fighter. During 1998, I served with our fire department in Mims and Scottsmoor fighting the wild fires that burned across our state.
I share this part of my volunteer experience in order to give some insight into my motivation for running for the Commissioner at Large position. I am committed to doing what ever I can to support and protect this special place we call Melbourne Beach. I believe that I can bring leadership, experience, integrity, and civility to our town council. Therefore I am asking you to consider my candidacy when you make your decisions for the November election.
