Welcome to Miss Moscato's Page!
Hello and welcome to my webpage!  My name is Donna Moscato and I am an aspiring teacher. I love working with children of all ages and I look foward to having my own class! I've learned so much up to this point and through this page, I will try to share it with you while also telling you a little about myself. So, take a look around. I hope you enjoy your time here!
About Me

I grew up in Hopewell Jct. New York as the youngest of 5 siblings.  I am also the proud aunt of 7 nieces and nephews. I have a few hobbies such as drawing/painting, scrapbooking, hiking, and biking.  For a long time, I didn't feel I truly had a talent (like the rest of my family and friends who could sing, play instruments or play sports well).  It wasn't until my good friend, Jeff, made an inspiring remark to me.  At that point I had been working in a day care and after I confessed to Jeff that I wish I had a talent like him, he said to me, "Donna, you are the only person I know who can talk about all the crazy things the kids put you through and just LAUGH about it.  Being able to do that every day is a talent."
I have always loved working with children and I have held many jobs since I was 15 doing just that; Day care, babysitting, tutoring, and subbing, to name some. I graduated from Mount Saint Mary College with a BA of Arts and I am applying for my certification in Elementary and Special Education. Currently, I am attending MSMC to obtain my Masters of Science in Literacy.  This is my first semester and I am taking an online class called "Nature of Schools in Society" which is taught by Dr. Smirnova.  I look fowrard to learning!

Those who make things happen,
Those who watch things happen,
And those who wonder what happened.
Which do you want to be?"

The good teacher explains.

The great teacher inspires."

"One looks back with appreciation to the brilliant teachers, but with gratitude to those who touchedd human feelings.  The curriculum is so much necessary new material, but the warmth is the vital element for the growing plant and the soul of a child."
~Carl Jung
"If a child can't learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn."
