Personal Information
I think this section is where I bore you silly talking about myself and what I like and stuff I do and on and on ad infinitem *yawn* Skip down if this doesn't interest you - I promise it won't hurt my feelings. :)
Vitals: Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, and yes I like it! If you haven't visited L.A. before, ask me where the cool stuff is, and if you have been here before and didn't like it, well that's because you didn't have me to show you around. :)
I work from home as a medical biller and aside from earning a living, it affords me time to pursue writing novels and stories. Haven't published anything yet but one day you will see my name on a bookshelf. Once a month I meet with a group of fellow writers and we help each other along, through critiques and commentary and plain old motivational techniques ("Write something, you lazy bum!")
How about an appropriate quote? From Walter Red Smith: "There's nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and open a vein."

AOL Life and Other Stuff
Occasionally I'm online on IRC (Internet Relay Chat), which is a great engine to use for chatting with folks other than those on AOL, but I don't go there as much as I used to. Otherwise I'm answering email or websurfing for good airfare deals. I've become addicted to traveling and am always on the lookout for suggestions of places to visit. Just don't forget to tell me why you like the spot in the first place! My absolute favorite town to chill out in is Las Vegas. I can talk for hours about the place and I'm not much of a gambler. The Strip is the *best* spot to people-watch. Well, I'd say the Tuillieres Garden or the steps of L'Opera in Paris is the best place to people-watch but that sounds mighty pretentious. Give me a nice hotel room and a bucket of quarters and a few hours to kill on the Strip and I'm a happy girl.

Interests & Other Stuff
I like music and movies and reading and raindrops on roses..oops, skip that last one.
It's stupid to say one likes "music" or "movies" because it's about as unspecific as one can get. I thoroughly enjoy watching, discussing, commenting and villifying most movies except out and out slashers. I'll even watch a horror movie if there's a cute guy's chest <gryn> nearby so I can bury my face during the scary parts. My favorite type of movie, though, is a good, old fashioned musical. There's something so glorious about people breaking into a song and dance number in the middle of their lives. How could anyone resist Gene Kelly singing in the rain because he's so in love with Debbie Reynolds? I never can...but then, I would have picked Donald O'Connor in the end. :) A favorite movie is "The Slipper and the Rose", a musical based on Cinderella and starring Richard Chamberlain and Gemma Craven. There's a great website all about this movie - check it out
Music is another all-encompassing category. The range is broad, from classical to pop to jazz to alternative rock to traditional celtic. All time favorites are Chris de Burgh - Yes he's done a LOT more than "The Lady In Red". Do yourself a favor and click on the link to his official webpage below - and the Moody Blues. Also Al Stewart, who is one of the most intelligent lyricists I've ever heard. There are lots more but if you want to know, ask me.
Reading consists of all kinds of stuff, too. Mostly fantasy/science fiction (do yourself a favor and seek out Harry Turtledove's Videssos Cycle books, and Glen Cook's Black Company), but also history and historical biographies are high on the "to read" list. I've been spending too much time online to read as much as I used to. Damn this foul computer!
