why custom?
Why custom?
A bicycle should be like a suit. Made to fit its wearer (rider) and only then will it be efficient. I use a WIDE variety of tubing and parts to create a machine that's most efficient for the rider. You can buy a bike off the shelf and ride and be OK, but you will never realize your full potential unless the machine you ride is created for YOU! You also have a choice of colors with a custom builder, as well as color schemes. With a custom builder, you get what you want. I specialize in efficiency. You want to go faster, I WILL make that happen. I can use tubing from manufacturers such as Reynolds, Columbus, Dedacciai (pronounced dead-a kie). I also use Aerodynamic tubing, and was one of the first in North America to do so. Most of my frames are constructed in the "lugless" fashion, meaning that they are fillet brazed by hand, showing the perfect welds that are not only beautiful but functional. Occasionally I will build a frame with lugs, or maybe a lugged bottom bracket if heat-treated chainstays are used. I will have several different finishes available because I use a few different painters and powdercoaters. As of now, over 800 different colors are available, with more becoming available all the time. Refer to the list below as to just a FEW names that have ridden my frames and improved their performance.

What performance means to me?
Frame performance is where I pride myself. I select each tube of each bike. I generally wont build a stock "set" of tubing, due to not every riders needs are going to be matched up with a standard set. For heavier riders, or riders who place a lot of torque on a frame, I would utilize a heavier gauge downtube and chainstays. Efficiency is the name of the game. I would rather sacrifice a few ounces of frame weight to make the frame more efficient for the rider. Efficiency is what makes you cross that finish line first, not the lightest frame
