In Memory of Arthur Crier
Arthur Crier, singer-songwriter-producer and bass singing veteran of the doo-wop era passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2004.  Arthur Crier, along with Eugene Tompkins ("The Limelighters") created the Atlanta Doo-Wop Association. Arthur was an original member of the Chimes, and joined with groups, The Halos and Liilian Leach and The Mellows.
Arthur was the inspiration behind the great portrait "The Pioneers of Rhythm & Blues, Rock & Roll and Doo-Wop" Sunday, June 6, 1999 and "The Original Legends" which are part of the permanent collection of The Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC and The Moorland-Spingarn Research Center at Howard University in Washington, DC, respectively.
His dream was to honor the pioneers and legends of doo-wop and early rhythm and blues.  His ultimate dream came true with "Doo-Wop In DC: A Reunion Tribute to the Pioneers of Rhythm & Blues, Rock & Roll and Doo-Wop, June 24-26, 2004 in Washington, DC at Howard University.
Arthur's legacy will live on through the continued efforts of the Atlanta Doo-WopAssociation

Mrs. Dorothy (Dot) Crier, Arthur's wife, passed away on April 25, 2005.  She now joins Arthur in Harmony Heaven.
