WALKER, TIMOTHY, Rehoboth.
Colonel; muster roll of officers who marched on the alarm of April 19, 1775, and served until April 24, 1775, 6 days; also, Colonel of a Bristol Co. Regt.; return of officers, dated May 23, 1775; ordered in Provincial Congress May 24, 1775, that said officers be comissioned; also, general order dated Headquarters, Cambridge, July 22, 1775, making disposition of the forces about Boston and dividing the army into 3 grand divisions to consist of 2 Brigades each; said Walker, Colonel of a regiment assigned to a brigade to be commanded by Brig. Gen, Spencer which was to form part of the right wing of the army under Maj. Gen. Ward, and to be stationed at Roxbury; also, Colonel; engaged April 24, 1775; service, 3 mos. 2 weeks; also, Colonel list of field and staff officers appearing on a return of Capt. John Perry's co., dated Oct. 6, 1775; also, list of men who paid money to raise Continental Soldiers, dated Feb. 18, 1778; said Walker, Colonel, reported as having paid £15.

Private, Capt. James Hill's Co., Col. Carpenter's Regt; entered service Dec. 8, 1776; discharged Dec. 13, 1776; service, 6 days, on the alarm at Bristol, RI, of Dec. 8, 1776; reported as belonging to the alarm list. Roll dated Bristol and sworn to at Rehoboth.
WALKER, TIMOTHY.
Official record of a ballot by the House of Representatives, dated Feb. 8, 1776; said Walker chosen 1st Major, Col. Jonathan Fox's (2d Middlesex Co.) regt. of Mass. Militia; appointment concurred in by Council Feb. 12, 1776; reported commisioned Feb. 12, 1776; also, list of members of committtees appointed to raise men for New York and Canada, showing number of commisions delivered them [ year not given, probably 1776 ]; said Walker, Major, reported as belonging to committe for Middlesex Co.; also, Major, engaged May 5, 1779; discharged July 1, 1779; service, 2 months, 2 days, at Tiverton, R.I., including travel (100 miles) home; also, Major; list of men creditied with turns of service [ year not given]; said Walker creditied with one turn.
WALKER, TIMOTHY.
Sergeant, Capt. Nathaniel Ide's Co., Col. Thomas Carpenter's regt.; marched Aug. 1, 1780; discharged Aug. 7, 1780; service 9 days; company marched from Rehoboth to Tiverton, R.I. on the alarm of July 31, 1780, and there served under Gen. Heith (Heath?, ed.). Roll sworn to at Rehoboth.

COLONEL WALKER'S MASSACHUSETTS BATTALION
This battallion was created on May 23, 1775 and was taken into the Continental Army June 14. It served until December, 1775.

WALKER'S REGIMENT
Authorized 23 April 1775 in the Massachusetts State Troops as Walker's Regiment. Organized in spring 1775 at Roxbury to consist of ten companies from northern Bristol County. Adopted 14 June 1775 into the Continental Army and assigned to the Main Army. Assigned 22 July to Spencer's Brigade, an element of the Main Army. Consolidated 1 January 1776 with Read's Regiment and consolidated unit redesignated as the 13th Continental Regiment.

13TH CONTINENTAL REGIMENT
Authorized 23 April 1775 in the Massachusetts State Troops as Read's Regiment. Organized in spring 1775 at Roxbury to consist of ten companies from southwestern Suffolk County, southeastern Worcester County, and Bristol County. Adopted 14 June 1775 into the Continental Army and assigned to the Main Army.
Consolidated 1 January 1776 with Walker's Regiment [see Walker's Regiment] and David Brewer's Regiment [see David Brewer's Regiment] and consolidated unit redesignated as the 13th Continental Regiment, an element of Spencer's Brigade, to consist of eight companies. Relieved 24 January 1776 from Spencer's Brigade and assigned to Thomas's Brigade, an element of the Main Army. Relieved 24 April 1776 from Thomas' Brigade and assigned to Heath's Brigade, an element of the Main Army. Relieved 12 August 1776 from Heath's Brigade and assigned to Clinton's Brigade, an element of the Main Army. Relieved 5 November 1776 from Clinton's Brigade and assigned to McDougall's Brigade, and element of the Main Army. Relieved 11 December 1776 from McDougall's Brigade and assigned to Sargent's Brigade, an element of the Main Army.
Disbanded (less Peter's and Walbridge's Comapnies) in January 1777 at Morristown, New Jersey; Peter's Company reorganized and redesignated 1 January 1777 as Warren's Comapny, Bailey's Regiment [see 2nd Massachusetts Regiment], and Walbridge's regiment reoganized and redesignated 1 January 1777 as Goodale's Company, Putnam's Regiment [ see 5th Massachusetts Regiment ].

"I actually found Timothy Walker in a book called The Shot Heard Around The
World. He is in Roxbury under Major General John Thomas on June 17, 1775 and
his men are in the 3rd Mass. A total of 562 men.
Then again in July to December 1776 in Boston under Brigader General
Spencer from Conn. under Major General Ward Division at Boston Neck or now
called Roxbury with 491 men . Again his men are called the 3rd Mass."
