Oral History Service
Have your stories or the stories of someone you love recorded to save and share. As a professional oral historian I will conduct an interview of suitable length to include all the parts and pieces of those memories you’ve wanted to save but just have never got around to.
Three levels of service:
· Audio recording only, $30/hour of interview
· Audio recording with a written index of subjects discussed, in chronological order, $45/hour of interview
· Audio recording with an audit checked verbatim transcript (double space typed paper copy), $100/hour of interview
You may also choose the kind of interview you want conducted from the following list:
· Whole Life: all the details: parents, childhood, schooling, career, and some advice to the next generation
· Childhood Memories: the most interesting of the stories a person tells because they reflect most clearly the differences of yesterday’s world.
· Career: Describe your work. How did success come? Through struggle? What was learned?
· Family History: Tell me about your relatives. What were they like? What do you remember?
I offer interview services to people living in the California counties of Santa Barbara, Ventura, and Los Angeles at the above fees plus 30 cents a mile travel from Camarillo CA. Interviews may be scheduled at your convenience weekdays and weekends. Usually interviews last 2 hours or more.
