To Everyone who worked with putting this hunt together for my Father and me:
Thank you very much not just for the hunt but for allowing my Father
and I to have some quality time together. It's the first since my two brothers
and sister was born!
My Father enjoyed the vacation in Maine he spent with me there.
It's the first real vacation he has taken in the last few years.
It meant a great deal to both of us.
We will never forget the hospitality of Paul, Lynn, and KC Malicky.
I can't wait to come back up again and maybe next time I will be
able to go horse back riding with KC.
John Cannon kept us in stitches. John and my father became very
good friends. We really enjoyed his company and sharing laughter.
Paul was our guide and host and John Cannon took time off his job
as a Police Officer to come up to Maine from PA and assist with
this hunt for me. He stayed right with us throughout our stay at
Northland Guide Service and Camp with Paul and his family.
I enjoyed the bear hunt more than I can put into words.
I need to thank Lisa Singleton for applying and initiating this hunt
with your organization. She is the one who originally thought it
would do both me and my dad good and she was right we both
needed something like this. It's been a long hard two years for
me and him both. My father is a very hard worker and puts all
the needs of his family before himself and it was great to see
him truly enjoying himself and being able to give something
to him as well with all he has sacrificed for me and our family.
I appreciate Nancy Copeland for allowing me to be able to be a part
of the Dream Catchers Organization and helping where I can. I really
enjoyed traveling to Ohiofor the National Trappers Convention function,
at first I didn't think it possible with my medical appointment schedule
but at the last moment it worked out and I truly enjoyed meeting some
of you there. I met Rosey and her family and Paul there.
Thank you also to Carol Kratz and Nancy Copeland who allowed
me help where I could. I especially appreciate the assistance from
Chuck and Michael Kratz for them staying with me at the hotel while
I was not well.
My accident leaving me paraplegic has been a humbling experience
but with people like all of you, people like me can see that there is a
way to still enjoy the things we loved before and can still
do them even if it takes a little help from our friends. I would like to
consider you my friends now and in turn be able to turn around and
stay positive and help others.
I really appreciate the board and them raising the money to make a
trip like this possible for someone like me and any way I can help
others to have experiences like this, please let me know and I will
be more than glad to help. I think you all have created a wonderful
organization. Working a little with Nancy Copeland has me looking
forward to working more in this area with other reps. here in Alabama.
I especially look forward to working some with an old childhood friend,
Mark Peeples in producing a video of my experience. I'm being
interviewed by the Newspaper editor and when the article comes out
I will mail each of you a copy personally.
Thank you Nancy Copeland for driving me to the airport in Nashville
and picking me up and all that you do.
I have really enjoyed my hunt at Paul Malicky's Hunting Camp with
his Northland Guide Service and I will always treasure these memories
with my father of my time there....from all the good cooked food to all
the good company, especially the hunt and actually taking a bear! :)
I am sending some pictures, Thanks John for taking most of them!!!
I want to share them with all of you. With a little help from Nancy
I have them on a disc to mail each of you.
Again, thank you.
