Information about thier 12/17/04 Grand Opening: I didn't get to attend opening night but I hear it was a great success. Imagine, a drive-in theatre having a grand opening two days before the first day of winter. Only in Texas. Kids setting in the back of pickups at the, two days before the first day of winter, grand opening of a drive-in theatre. Again, only in Texas. I understand that people came from the far reaches of the area. A near capacity crowd of nearly 800 cars. And that was with only 2 of the 3 screens open. The owners were painting, a bulldozer was moving dirt and a plumber still working right up to the opening of the box office. In my experience, many years ago, that's the way opening night usually goes. This is a complicated operation with many things that have to be done. It seems to me that things ran pretty smoothly. The owners should be congratulated. I hope this is the beginning of a long successful run of the Galaxy. Their website is here.
