Bereavement Support Movement
Parents reaching out to others in time of grief
"An event has happened upon which it is difficult to speak, and impossible to be silent."
-Edmund Burke
I've created this home page in hopes of providing a place of comfort and support for women and families that have sufferd the tragic loss of a baby through ectopic, miscarriage, stillbirth and neonatal death.
It is my hope that this site will provide a resource for parents concerning information about their rights following the loss of their beloved baby.
When I lost my baby in 1997, I later discovered that I had been denied the right to a proper burial of the remians, and to be given information concerning hospital policies under a twenty year old state law.
Part of my ministry has been to advocate for parents who have lost a baby, no matter how early the gestation.
There are many links to resources, news stories, counseling organizations worldwide and information on your rights, regardless of what state your reside in you have civil, moral and religious rights that all hospitals must uphold.
This site contains my story, and the stories of other women who have spoken out publicly through the media to change the level of care for women and families.
I hope that the information on this site will empower many women to know that you have options and can control the direction of your care.
