There are MANY, MANY, MANY more fiber related links.
Most of them can be found on Ruth Stowe's web site.
If you have not surfed through it, I highly recommend it
sometime when you have lots of surfing time.

You can also find web site addresses in ads in fiber magazines
such as Handwoven and Spin-Off.

Two sites recommended by a DFHG member:

1. Tartan Finder - http://www.house-of-tartan.scotland.net/house/tfinder.htm

Really fun site. Can change images of tartans. Choices include Standard, Modern, Ancient, Muted, Antique and Reproduction Images of more than two thousand Scottish tartans with the standard variations. One can search by tartan or clan name and by color codes. There is also an extract from the book Identifying Tartans by Blair Urquhart telling the story of the tartan and its origins.

2. Tartans Of Scotland - http://www.tartans.scotland.net/

The "complete Register of all Publicly Known Tartans online, which includes details and images of over 2800 tartans." You can search by family name, tartan, or sept (clan branch). Variations such as corporate, district, novelty, service, sports, and trade tartans are included. There are articles on the making, wearing, and history of the tartan as well as a Scottish Association World Directory, and a Scottish Heritage section with articles on music, whisky, genealogy, and more.
