SPINNING  - - RAG RUGS  - -  WEAVERS' SUPPORT -- REP WEAVE -- WAFFLE WEAVE

SPINNING, etc.
This DFHG Group meets once a month during the school year,
usually on the 2nd Saturday of the month
from 10am -- 2pm in our Fiber Studio in The Depot.
Spinners of all levels - beginners to experienced - are welcome
as well as any fiber lover with a portable project and an interest in a "circle" type meeting.
We chat as we spin, sharing all sorts of information and thoughts
including, but not limited to, fiber-related topics.

If you will need lunch, bring a bag lunch or go out to a downtown Duluth
restaurant. Hot water for coffee and tea will be provided.

If you think you will be attending,
please let Leslie Williamson White know by e-mail or a phone call.
leslieww876@msn.com --- 728-9545
Or send an e-mail to our Yahoo Group: DFHGuild@yahoogroups.com

and, if you want, a bag lunch and/or a treat to share.

WAFFLE WEAVE TOWEL STUDY GROUP
Facilitator: Caroline Shallman --- 218-525-1703 ---
duluth@icanseethelakefromhere.com

This dishtowel "support group" is aimed at newer weavers who would enjoy the camaraderie and encouragement
of working on an individual project in a small group setting, but all guild members are welcome.

Waffle Weave is a fascinating weave structure that looks more difficult than it is. We will each complete
a kit from Halcyon Yarn that makes 3 dish towels with a finished size of 17" x 28". There are 5 different
color themes available and weavers will select their color preference in advance. See the this web site
for color choices:
http://www.halcyonyarn.com/kits/weavingkits.html

Pre-requisite: Beginning weaving class or ability to warp a 4 shaft loom independently

Materials: $26.50 for a kit, plus shipping (approx. $3.75)

MEETING TIMES:
Thursdays 6:00pm - 9:00pm & Saturdays 2:00pm - 5:00pm
Feb. 28 through March 22, 2008
In the DAI Depot Fiber Studio
