David Edward Patton (Tip) is the only son of Henry (Hank) and Mary E. Patton he was born June l5, 1937 in the Bellevue hospital at Pittsburgh, PA
He married Vera (Bonnie) Claire Baker Daughter of , Wallace and Florence (Kennedy) Baker on March 3, 1962.
The children of David and Vera Patton are Kathleen Ann Patton, Diane Lynn Patton and Beth Ann Patton.
David attended 12 years of Catholic school graduating from North Catholic High School in Pittsburgh in the year 1955. While attending high school David played two years on the football team and was on the boxing team where he won his weight division. Upon graduation he worked as a steeple jack rebuilding, repairing and painting smoke stacks throughout the North Eastern United States. He also played for two years in the Sandlot baseball team for Laurel Gardens.
David joined the United States Air force in 1957 and was trained as an aircraft electrician at Chanute Air Force base in Illinois. After training he was stationed at Hickam Air Base in Hawaii for three years and was honorably discharged in 1960 returning to the Pittsburgh area.
He then attened Allegheny Technical Institute and earned an associate drgree in Electronics.
In 1962 he married Vera (Bonnie) Baker and moved to Cambridge Ohio where he worked for RCA. His daughters, Kathleen and Diane, were born in Cambridge Ohio, his third daughter, Beth Ann was born in Pittsburgh after David and Bonnie moved back to the Pittsburgh area in 1964.
When he came back home to Pittsburgh he worked for Carnegie Mellon University as an electronic technician for 9 years. He then retained a position with Packard Instrument Co. as a Field Engineer repairing and selling Electronic Equipment to hospitals and universities in Eastern PA, W V A and upstate NY. He then went to work for Monitor Labs in Gibsonia as a supervisor of production and testing from which he retired in 2002.
During the time his father was alive he spent many a days on the golf courses with his dad, who beat him constantly.
