Custom Miniature Knives
I have been making knives for 30 years, miniatures for 25 years. My work has appeared in The Blade magazine, Knives Illustrated, Knife World, Ken Warner's Knives books from 1982 to 2000, including the cover of Knives 87,and knife publications from Japan, Belgium, Brazil, and Germany. My wife's displays of my knives have won numerous awards, as have my miniatures. The Randall knife museum in Orlando, Florida has 6 of my miniature renditions of their various models.
The miniatures (fixed blades only) are built using the same materials and procedures as are full sized knives. The blades are made from O1, 440C, 304 stainless, and Damascus steels. The guards are brass, nickel silver, or Damascus and are silver soldered to the blade. I use many types of handle materials including exotic woods, abalone, ivory, mother of pearl, and some synthetics.
The price range on my miniatures is from $80 to $250 depending on blade material, handle material, and difficulty to make. Some have sheaths that are made for me by Tree Stump Leather on request.
