Smudge's show career was very successful to say the least. He loved the ring and was never happier than when he was in the spotlight.
With 3 all breed BIS's , 26 Group 1's , 31 Group 2's , 38 Group 3's , 31 Group 4's , as well as 363 BOB's and 14 BOS's. Also 2BVIS.
He was # 2 E.C. for 1996, #1 E.C for 1997, and # 2 E.C. for 1998 .
He thrilled us by winning Best In Veteran Sweeps at the ECSCA National in 2000. He also won a Group from the Bred By class in Canada the following weekend.
He won Best Of Breed at the Canadian National under Breeder/Judge Thora Brown at the age of 10-1/2 a dream come true for this breeder.
We are very proud of his show record but we are more proud of the fact that he has sired 22 Champion kids with many more close to finishing.
He really taught us that you can teach an old dog new tricks by earning his Working Dog Title in June of 2002 at 11-1/2 yrs. young.
His temperament was amazing. He was comfortable in any situation, loved everyone he met, and even helped raise his kids & grandchildren. We feel blessed to have been owned by such a great soul!
He touched many lives and made us many friends.
So now my Smudge run free, chase birds, and let Scott groom you till we get to be together again.
