Hello
Everyone,
First, I want
to say that I've been using this method and it's been showing some AMAZING
results. Well, I usually have about 1 to 3 lucid dreams a week on
average sometimes more but usually 1 to 3. Using this method, I had
25 LDs in one week.........yep, you read that right, twenty-five LDs
this past week!!!
That
was a while ago, but the follow up results are still very promisng.
Although I haven't had any where near 25 LDs in one week again,
I have been having more than I usually would. More importantly,
by using this method I have around 50% chance of successfully inducing
a lucid dream whenever I make the time to use it.
So
needless to say, I'm awestruck with the dramatic increase and attribute
it to this technique which I'm going to pass along to anyone who hasn't
heard of it. It's been mentioned a lot before and it is actually alluded
to in the MILD technique by Stephen LaBerge and many people refer to
it as the "napping" technique, but I think "napping" is to general a
term for the process. Plus, shedding the light on the "kind" of
increase we're talking about here will help others realize HOW EFFECTIVE
it really izzzzzz
Here's the method............................
1)
go to bed for 6 hours or so
2) then
wake up
3)
stay awake for an hour or so
(or at least until you are "awake"
and not sleepy-headed or foggy-minded :)
....get out of bed and do something
....you HAVE TO get out of bed!!!
preferably read something about LDs (books, newsgroups, etc...)
4) THEN
go back to bed using whatever technique you normally use to induce
your LDs
i.e. MILD technique, affirmations,
trance induction, visualization, grounding your awareness, or whatever
:)
THEN it's lucid
dreamzzz, my friendzzz
The timing can be adjusted to suit your purpose but it is
adviseable to get a lot of sleep (6 hours is perfect ) and then stay
up until you are no longer groggy minded and sleepy-headed. Once
you are awake, sometimes 20 minutes will be enough for me, and then
I'll go back to bed with amazing results.
One key
thing I've learned is to "set the pattern" by establishing a routine
of doing this regularly. I've been doing it off and on with good results,
but about 3 weeks ago, I buckled down and made it a priority. The first
week I did it on three mornings and I had some results about 50% successful
LD induction. I had about 5 LDs the first week (above average :)
The second
week again I did it a few times (maybe three mornings) and had even
better results with more LDs and a slightly higher lucid ratio, but
the third week (about 10 LDs for the second week....well above average
:) BUT The third week..It just seemed to kick in and it was LD records
for me. Again I did it about 3 mornings and had LDs totaling about twenty-five
or more for the week!!!!!!
How great
is it to lose count of your LDs
during a one week period?????
So I think the KEY is to be consistent and get the routine
engrained and absorbed into your subconscious. With time it seems
to be getting easier and easier, and as a bonus effect of all this induced
lucidity you can expect to have extra spontaneous LDs during the night.
It's like an added bonus plan. On this past Saturday, I had a spontaneous
LD during my first REM cycle and managed to ride it out for a long looooooooong
time. I think the total number of LDs in the series was about 10 or
12. One LD after the other with small intervals in between them where
I was still conscious but didn't have any visuals so I would just wait
it out and new visuals would appear and the whole cycle would start
over.
Total time
of maintained lucidity was at least an hour......possibly 1.3 hours
(maybe even more). It was by far the longest LD I've ever had
and I've had many long ones of about 45 minutes with about 7 or 8 reentries,
but this one takes the prize.
So this is why I am
relaying this to everyone I possibly can :)
And please forward
it to anyone you know who may be interested.
I think it's the easiest
approach and has shown the best results. And I've been trying them ALL
for the last 2 years or so
It
works like magic *literally*
The only thing you have to do
is arrange your sleeping pattern so that you can use this sleep/wake/back
to bed method.
Whatever you have to
do, just DO
IT !!!
Trust me on this one........
It's the BEST thing I've stumbled across yet........
lucid intervals and happy
pausezzz.......
stay lucid,
bird
