| I have a special fondness for Mountain Laurel, the state flower of my home state, Pennsylvania, where native forms grow in wild profusion. This particular plant is a variety created by my friend Dick Jaynes, a Connecticut botanist as well as a renowned expert on Mountain Laurel.
