Practice of the art

I see people who are in transition, who want to make positive changes in their lives. I've worked with just about all kinds of folks in all sorts of situations. There's little I haven't heard.

My style is to work with clients, not to look down on them or play "expert". I use an eclectic mix of styles that my clients have come to call "Ed Therapy". I also use a bit of humor.

Doing Therapy

I usually see clients once a week. I offer sliding scales for clients with limited resources. I offer a relaxed setting in a quiet office near Santa Monica and La Cienega in West Hollywood and Granada Hills in the northwest San Fernando Valley.

Who and What

I've spent much of my career working with and living in neighborhoods of mixed racial and ethnic backgrounds. I have lived around Spanish speaking people most of my life and have learned a bit of Spanish. I also have a close fondness for Korean people as some of my family and business associates are Korean.

I have spent much of my career working with persons in recovery from addiction/alcoholism and persons from dysfunctionsl families, including ones with addicted/alcoholic parents.

The defining rule of a "Dysfunctional Family" is one in which everyone silently agrees to "Don't Feel, Don't Talk About It, No Matter What".

Mostly, I try to find the "Child of God" that lives in all of us. I believe that in the discovery of that child, we find health and peace.
