Los Fresnos Consolidated ISD, Los Fresnos, Texas . English/Language Arts teacher. 8/1999 - 5/2000. Taught three eighth grade English classes at the Los Cuates Middle School campus. Instruction centered on preparation for the TAAS writing and reading tests. Also was UIL OneAct Play director.
University of Texas-Brownsville, Brownsville, Texas. Adjunct English instructor. 1/1993 - 12/1995 Taught Writing Lab II classes for two nights a week in the English Department. The classes prepared the students for the writing portion of the TASP test.

English teacher. The first two years at Faulk Middle School, I taught six classes of 8th grade English, with an emphasis on writing and the writing process, along with grammar incorporated. I moved to sixth grade when the school became a middle school. Taught Gifted and Talented class last five years. UIL One Act Play director and founder/sponsor of High Tech Zoomers GT Club. Twice nominated as a campus representative for Teacher of the Year.

1/2001 - Began first Internet business-Mike's Book Cafe, a distributor of books, cassette tapes and CD-ROMs designed for personal and business success. Created all web sites, including a newsletter web site, to link to sales web site established by Future World, the parent company.
2/1998 - Outstanding Young Men of America, biography in 1998 edition.
1999, Marquis Who's Who in the World, 16 th edition ; April 1998, Dictionary of International Biography, 26th edition; 1/1997 - Marquis Who's Who in the South and Southwest, biography in 25th anniversary edition.
Started the High Tech Zoomers GT Club at Faulk Middle School, and had it three years. Sixth grade GT class published book of Brownsville history, Brownsville, Yesterday and Today in spring of 1998 through BISD.
Placed first place in UIL One Act Play competition 1997-98, third place in 1999-2000.
Spring, 1995, published second limited printing of A Poetry Sampler-100% Natural Words, by Elias Tobias.
