My Crochet Journal
EDLINE'S CROCHET PAGES

Motor fingers!  Perhaps because when my fingers get too tired to knit, I crochet.
I learned to crochet a long time ago when I was about 12 years old.  My Mama tried to teach me before that.  I did not learn much.  I was very awkward at holding the hook!  Finally my Aunt Florence said, "Try it and hold the hook any way you can."  I did, and I learned and I loved doing this.
Perhaps you would like to see pictures of some afghans that I have made for family members as well as friends.  There are so many different patterns, yarns and colors and I want to make them all so-o-o I am always doing something new since I don't like to make the same one twice.
Red Heart 4-ply, Rambling Rose and Country Rose. Two of my favorite colors and hard for me to give away; however I could make another one for myself, if I could just forget that I do not like to make anything more than once.
For our Friends, the Murrays, I made this afghan in Hunter Green and Aran Fleck.  New York has very cold winters.
A Country Rose for Louise
Something a bit dfferent.  A Gingerbread Man for Cousin Leah who makes the most delicious gingerbread cookies in the whole universe.
For the dinng table, an intricate pineapple design crocheted with #10  Knit-Kro-Sheen  in a 70-inch round pattern.  This for my own home to make a change from the one I use that my mama crocheted some 75 years ago.  Hey, these last a long time.
This little pink dress I made for my only daughter.  Here is the daughter of my daughter wearing the dress some 30 years later.  The dress is lovely but the two girls were beautiful.
Butterfly doily made for one of Sissy's friends.
So soft and cuddly, made with Lion Brand Chenille in this Wine color.
Mmm-mm- very expensive!
