"We may not have it all together, but together we have it ALL!"
STUDENT COUNCIL (n) - a group of officers, classroom representatives, committees, and an advisor who work together
to promote school spirit, make important team decisions, and provide special events and projects for the school community.
In early October we held classroom elections for representatives after students who met criteria were nominated by teachers, and permitted by parents. Our team of 24 students in grades 4th through 6th rolled up their sleeves and got right to work!
This year's committees consist of Community Service (helping Emerson staff and community and tutoring younger students during recess), Recess Committee (to help during indoor and outdoor recess with equipment and games), and Public Relations (writing the school newspaper and taking photos).
