Reiner Zauber is a beautiful 10 year old imported Bavarian Warmblood gelding. He is of modern type, 16.2 hh, bright chestnut with a white star. At home, we call him "Magic", as his German show name of Reiner Zauber translates to "Pure Magic".

Magic was accepted and sold as the highest selling weanling at the Bavarian Elite Auction in Ansbach, Germany. I purchased and imported him from Germany in 1995 as an unbroke 3 1/2 year old. I started him under saddle the next spring as a 4 year old. I have taken a lot of time with him, training based on lightness and seat, through the levels. He is now showing Third Level Dressage and schooling Fourth Level. He is alert and attentive, impressing judges who score him well on collective marks. He typically scores 8 on gaits.

Collection work is his forte. From time to time I have some of my more advanced students ride him to teach collection and lightness. We have begun to school Piaffe and Passage and he is very eager and willing. His lateral movements are outstanding and has responsive, easy flying changes.

Magic is super easy to ride and get along with under saddle as well as on the ground. He would be a perfect fit for a Jr/Yr competitor, AA or even the serious Open rider.

Even though we have pursued Dressage, Magic loves to jump! I enjoy changing routines with him and from time to time we school over fences and trail ride. Even though he would be considered green over fences, he can jump a 4 ft. oxer like a cat, tons of scope, is brave and absolutely loves it. In the right hands, would make an excellent Open Jumper, with unlimited potential.

My intention was not to sell him, but have discovered that I need to have back surgery and being uncertain of how long I will be off, I have decided to find him a competitive, caring home. He sells 100% sound, no vices. He has never had an injury or illness of any type.
