NOVAK/HORINKA REUNION 2007

REUNION 2008 Scheduled

The 2008 Novak/Horinka Reuion will be held the weekend of June 7th at our new location, the SNPJ Recreation Center at Enon Valley, PA. Cabins(1 & 2 bedroom), are now available and should be booked as soon as possible to insure availability. SNPJ is temporarily holding 12 one bedroom and 12 two bedroom cabins for us, all located in a group adjacent to the Reunion Barn. If you  did not attend the 2007 Reunion I can confidently say our new Reunion home is a far superior location for our gathering. Besides offering very inexpensive overnight lodging, it offers plenty of activities for the entire family, such as swimming, fishing, restaurant and bar facilities. Talk with someone who attended the 2007 Reunion and you will see just how wonderful it was.

2007 Novak/Horinka Reunion

Despite the smaller than usual turnout, the 2007 was a wonderful time. We had perfect weather, great food and lots of fun for all. Being able to extend the event into the evening was a big plus as we were able to relax and enjoy visiting with family around the campfire, talking about the "good old days"and catching up on our family happenings. Hopefully this will develop into a new tradition that our children will someday look back upon as their "good old days".
My Interests
Besides photography and genealogy my interests include collecting artifacts from the GREAT LAKES EXPOSITION, which was held in Cleveland in 1936&37. It was held on the site that is now the ROCK & ROLL HALL of FAME and the GREAT LAKES SCIENCE CENTER. I currently own well over 100 items.

I also collect bottles from the early Brewers and Soda Bottlers of Cleveland. My collection includes over 500 bottles that span the years from the 1850's thru the 1960's. I'm always interested in obtaining bottles for my collection.

Another hobby of mine is restoring a 1969 SAAB SONETT. I owned a similar car back in my college years which I sold in 1982. I found this SONETT on the internet (eBay) and had it trucked back to Euclid. It spent the better part of a year in a local body shop and now the body and frame are in A1 condition. The car now sits in my garage waiting for me to reassemble the interior and work on brakes and engine.
