2/25/01
Our home endured a great loss on Saturday, 2/24/01, when Digger passed away after a brief battle with osteosarcoma. Digger was our pride and joy. He was sweet and affectionate, funny and playful. He was our "cuddle-bug". His nickname of "Muppet" will live with us forever. Although, we did not have enough time with Digger prior to his death, the 4 short years we did have were filled with joy and happiness. He was a great agility dog and enjoyed performing in the back yard. He was an unselfish dog that enjoyed everyone and every dog that came into his life. He loved swimming, camping, hiking, biking and snowshoeing. He was a heart stealer to the end. Anyone who met him, fell in love.
We will miss his soulful eyes and morning hugs, his big paws to wake us up, his head on a shoulder when falling to sleep, his playful bounce in the back yard, and that deep bark that made us know he was there.
Digger, with all our heart we thank you for being part of our lives. Without you we would never have known the pleasure of beardies and because of you, we have Abbey as part of our family to carry on your memory. Rest peacefully and we'll meet you at the Rainbow Bridge.
