MACABRE
Not only was this my first attempt at a murder/mystery, but this play became my first ever production. The UIS Repertory Theatre produced "Macabre" in the spring of 1998, only the third production from this company. It taught me a lot about the aspects of plays, not only from an acting standpoint, but from directing, producing, marketing, and coordinating as well. Here is the story:
A college campus is stalked by a serial killer, and several students try to stick together when the murders begin to move closer and closer to them. The two detectives searching for the killer must discover just how close he is to the group before he can kill again. This is an ensemble cast of 11-13 characters with each one being a possible suspect.
