FAVORITE WRITERS
While my writing passion centers on stage plays, I don't follow many playwrights. My all-time favorite writer is the horror master Stephen King.  Among my favorite King novels are the clasics "IT", "The Shining", "Salem's Lot", "Insomnia", "Desperation", and the "Dark Tower" series.  His books with Peter Straub, "The Talisman" and "Black House", are also among my favorites.  I also love the novels by former professional wrestler Mick Foley ("Mankind: Have a Nice Day" and "Foley is Good"). I am quite fond of Bernard Malamud's classic "The Natural" (it's also the only Robert Redford movie I can stomach) and Robert Cormier's "The Chocolate War".

WRITING INSPIRATIONS
It's tough to nail down any single inspiration for my writing, but if I had to, the first person who comes to mind is my former English Professor and counselor Dr. Marcellus Leonard who taught me the wonders of playwriting and the kind of fun you can have with it.  Also, my friend John Neal inspired "The Living End" when he jokingly (I hope) told me "I'd kill ya if someone would pay me enough". For me, all it takes is one sentense like that for an entire story to pop into my head. My son, Hunter, inspires me everyday to want to write.  If I only had the kind of time I used to have.
