John Schaplow ‘Unleashed Talent in the Northwest” Coaches and Athletic Director’s look for players that are held back by coaches all the time! They realize that these players’s are never utilized properly. We also found one! John Schaplow at 6’4” and 180 lbs is that “Diamond in the Rough” that needs the right coach to polish him to brilliance. Shooting 40% from 3pt land and a solid 41% from the field it is easy to see that John is a great shooter. We feel his size and pure athletic ability will carry him to the collegiate level.
Schaplow has been described by coaches and teammates as a “great defender”, “aggressive and quick”, “excellent passer”, “most
complete player on the team”, “best ball handler”, “team spark plug and motivator”, “very composed in clutch situations” and a “quality person with a positive attitude”. John carries a 3.49 GPA and excels in History, English, Trigonometry and Sports Conditioning.
Schaplow’ s stats at the Phoenix BCI Spring Last Chance tournament in April 8,9,10 2000. His Team “YES JRS RED” took 4rth Place.
He had 8pts per game 87.5% from the 3PT, 60% from the 2 PT 84% from the FT, 3 assists/game, 1 OR/game a total of 7 games were played. His highest game was against the tournament winner Arizona All-stars with 12pts. As of 11/2/2000 with 22 games over the summer and fall John averaged 17.8 pts/game. 6 assist/gm, 9 rbs/gm 3 stls/gm with a 60% rating from the three point line!
