Eyeiras D'Avarice
The "Black Widow"of Gor
She was born to a great man, a warrior, strong and true to the codes.  He loved a woman something terrible, a woman that gave him 8 sons and a little girl.  Their life was wonderful, she was a merchant, but fate had other plans and took this wonderful woman away from them all.  Sending this man called Calen D'Avarice into a terrible sorrow.  Ari was no more than 4 En Var's, but as she grew her mother’s essence grew with her.  Her own father couldn't even look at her without seeing his mate’s eyes staring back.  So there began the hatred he felt for Ari....for she was her mothers daughter, and Calen hated her mother for leaving him, alone and causing his heart so much pain and suffering.  He cursed the Kings above, and vowed to make sure that Ari suffered as he did.  Another setback caused even more pain when Silk her brother of 6 En Var's clothing was found bloody and torn upon the bushes not far from their home.  So Ari now was left with a father who hated her, brothers who cared little for her and the only two people who loved her....now gone to the city of dust........

Calen found the perfect way to make Ari suffer, he decided that he would teach Ari all the ways of being a warrior,  knowing that for him to do so would definitely seal her fate.  For no true man of gor would take her seriously and eventually she would be dealt with by those men for a woman knew her place, and no woman would dare say she was a warrior without serious consequences. Calen taught her how to deal with tarns, from learning to fly them to simple caring techniques. Calen also taught another no, and that was to allow her to touch and wield steel, making her practice with him every day, and made her spar her brothers as well. This soon became a daily routine around the D'Avarice household.  Ari ate, drank and slept being a warrior, and learning and living by their codes also. Ari knew no difference; she was bold, brassy, and let nothing get in her way when she wanted it.  All to soon many moons had past as that little girl of 4 en var's transformed into a silver maned woman, whose clear pools reflected an emotional voidness. Waiting for the day that someone would come along and melt this ice queen's heart. Ari being sheltered for way to long, finally tired of her father's persistent cruelty, packed her belongings and left.  Not knowing what was to become of her, or where the paths would lead her, but knew life had to be better for her somewhere other than here.  So began Ari's journey to Treve.  A place she hoped to call home....only the King's above knew what was in store
The road to Treve was not an easy one, and after paying for a guide to show her the way, she finally made her way to that glorious city in the sky.  She had found a home, one that she could call home.  Ari observed and listened to everything and everyone around her, learning the ways of the city and her people. This went on for many moons, and soon Ari had become a part of the city. Ari had met a wonderful family called the Trents. The old woman had two daughters and two sons.  Ari had a family now, and though there was some bitterness from the eldest sister, things smoothed out and life went on, Or though it seemed.  In this city was a man, handsome to some ruthless and untrustworthy to others, he had been wooing the eldest Trent daughter for some time, till Ari came along.  This man was relentless in his quest to have Ari as his.  But she would have nothing to do with it, and one day his pushing went to far....Ari told him no, and he vowed her to never live to love another and slit her throat. Lying to the ground she felt her life slipping from her, fear surpassed an ache, so deep..... but she wouldn't die that night...for Mother Trent took her and hid her.  Though the stitches would soon heal and the scar as well, the emotional and mental scars only time and the King's could heal....

Ari soon healed physically and decided that it was time for her to leave this city in the sky and venture to where she felt she was being led.  With tearful goodbyes, to her family she set off to the unknown, once again. The nightmares of that night haunted her every move, and made her careful and leery of strangers who stopped to speak to her on the roads.  Simple conversation was all she offered, and never stayed in one spot too long. Soon her travels took her to a city, where she met a merchant. Tears of happiness found her, for there in that city she found Silk, the brother she thought dead so long ago, alive. He too had left because of the cruelty of their father. Family, no more running, so Silk offered her a place to live, and gladly she accepted it.  Life took them from city to city, From Sardaria where Ari met several men, only to lose each one by them leaving or dying a horrible death, to Laura. Loving and losing men, then to Avian with her mate, only to lose him to the thassa. There was too much loss well to the point of her heart beginning to harden and grow icy cold.  She had learned to trust in love again but with each death there was very little one could feel anymore.  Silk nicknamed her "The Black Widow of Gor", for he couldn't wish her another heartache, or losing another male to her bad luck.  She could count the men loved and lost upon her hand, many warriors, even an Ubar whom in the end the King's took.  His death cut her deep, going into seclusion, how much could a woman take.  Ari decided never to love again.  It wasn't in the cards or the pathway it seemed of the King's  Until she met a stranger with intense blue eyes, so fierce they seemed to win her heart.
They celebrated 12 EnVars together, many good and many bad times together.  Bringing into this world 13 wonderful children, and providing a beautiful home for each of them.  She had thought she loved this man with all she was and everything she had. But, as with all things even after 12 EnVars, love was not , what it was, promises were broken, pain and sorrow put into the mixture, broken trust. There would soon be nothing left and one night came and passed and it was all gone...Their lifemating dissolved by his hand, she walked the path alone again.  Traveling from Midgaard, vowing never to step foot again upon it's icey soil.  She traveled in the company of her children and trusted companions, Sinjin & Garath. Her destination oon brought her to Scagnar to meet and see an old friend.  There she found the truest and most intense of all love a woman could ever wish to find.  She has started a new life with her children and the love of her life, Dracontias Draegon.  He completes her as no other ever would.  True love finds you once, and this time she would hold to the rareness of it, and tightly her grasp would be.
