State Park Background:
14 Bigfoot sightings have been reported at this undisclosed area dating back to1987 with the most recent report occurring in 2003.
About 31 PBS members gathered at a campsite located in one of Pennsylvania’s southwestern state parks. PBS’s director Eric Altman apprised us with the detail preparations that took place the week prior to the expedition; baiting strategic locations in the area mountaintop with meat, fish, fresh fruit, and a Sasquatch Pheromone chip. Guarding these midnight morsels were six motion-sensing game cameras primed to capture any creatures that wonder within the range of the lens’ visual field.
Friday night, June 3 – 06:45PM [Light drizzle]
Two small teams of researchers were chosen to conduct all-night surveillance at two separate locations not far from the tree-mounted cams. Headed by Altman, I joined Team-A which comprised of a group of six men packed with digital cameras, recorders, night-vision monocular and hand radios among other related field gear. As the vehicles climbed the rugged terrain, we encountered patches of dense fog as the precipitation faded on and off. At the site, approximate elev. of 2100 ft above sea level, we unpacked our equipment and our team broke into two more units settling at two separate observation points. During the time of 10:00 to10:30PM, the rain came down hard so we decided to return to our vehicles to wait for the shower to subside – which it did not. 11:50PM: Due to the poor visibility caused by the rain, fog, and the loud rain droplets reverberating upon the area foliage, we decided that under these conditions, it would be useless to continue this night’s observation.
Saturday morning, June 4 – 08:00AM [Cloudy]
New teams were assembled and I joined a group led by Brian Lang. We returned at the same site and again we divided into two units and at opposite directions, we started to hike on the muddy road, carefully looking for prints and any trace evidences that could be collected. Fecal deposits from various animals were found and print from deer, bear, and possibly of a large cat, were also discovered but nothing resembling impressions of a large bipedal anthropoid.
Later in the afternoon, 02:00PM [Sunny with clouds]
A fourth team drove out to a different area, near a lake, to look for evidence. We hiked up a hill via a clearing that was under large power lines and we later noticed game trails that were on each side of the forest’s edge, an area that was investigated by other PBS researchers hours earlier. A team member, who is a biology and environmental science student, discovered a grouping of deer bones along with what appears to be a large canine tooth intermixed within this pile. I and other members of Team 4 also examined this scene. Later on, rumblings of distance thunder were heard so we walked back to the clearing to view the sky. I took a couple of digital shots of the menacing clouds, which had an outward appearance of a tornado taking shape. We quickly returned to our vehicles and headed back to base camp to be greeted yet by another storm.
Conclusion:
(Based on Altman’s report)
Sunday, a group returned to the location to retrieve the game cameras. The photos revealed two deer, a raccoon, a crow and several PBS members who set up the cameras. No Bigfoot creatures were sighted. Several unknown impressions were discovered. Several unrecognizable vocalizations were heard. Several foul odors and eye shine from an unknown shadowy figure between some distance trees were also reported.
