Street ET:
For the first time ever Street Riders Shootout faithful Carlos Chavez went home with a Street ET win on Friday. Carlos was racing like a pro with near perfect reaction times and within .10 of his dial on virtually every race. Carlos’s showcase left many wondering if there is a new force to be reckoned with in the Street ET competition or if maybe it was just a good night. Well July 4th 2008 we will have a chance to see if Carlos’s performance was due to talent or just a good night.
Pro ET:
The Pro ET title was won by current points leader Rich Halverson. Rich was racing with passion Friday finishing first in Pro ET and 2nd in Street. Rich informed us after the race that we was racing with Jeremy Brigman in mind and that he wanted to dedicated the win to him. Jeremy, who suffered a fatal accident several weeks ago, will surely be missed in the motorcycle world and we at Streetville inc. would also like to express our condolences to his family and friends.
Shootout:
The Shootout class had great numbers on Friday. It was one of the largest fields we have seen this year and it included Street Rider Shootout record holder Jason Rearick. Jason made everyone aware that he meant business. Jason took home another monthly title with a 7.91et at 181mph.
600:
$600 on the line and we can’t find 16 racers willing to fight for it. That didn’t stop reigning champ Keith Cuellar from taking home another trophy, however. Whether there is one or many Keith comes to race and we are beginning to wonder if anyone will step up to challenge him for the monthly title. Due to the lack of racers for the big money we have decided that we will give $75 to the 600 shootout for the rest of the year. $50 for first place and $25 for second. The rules are as they have always been adding that you must race in the Street ET to qualify for the payout. You can still enter 600 without entering Street ET, but you will not qualify for points or monetary payout.
