The Forest Beach Owners' Association, Inc.
The Forest Beach Owners' Association is the property owners association for North and South Forest Beach and the Central Forest Beach Buisness District on Hilton Head Island, SC. The Association was chartered in 1974 and organized for the purpose of maintaining and increasing property values and to represent the interests of all property and business owners in the Forest Beach area.
The Town of Hilton Head Island is a limited service government, and the Association provides assistance to property owners that may not be available from the Town, County or State governments.
We are your voice for problems that you may encounter with local governing agencies. We also provide Covenant Enforcement and Architectural Review for the community.

Architectural Review Board
One of the main functions of the Forest Beach Owners' Association is to administer the Architectural Review Board (ARB) process required by the covenants.
The Association, which owns the Declarant Rights to the Deed Restrictions and Covenants, reviews all external construction and renovations in the entire Forest Beach area. The ARB ensures that covenant restrictions, including building setbacks and land usage is properly adhered to. Along with this, we review for compliance with the special Forest Beach Overlay District Guidelines required by the Land Management Ordinance of the Town.
The ARB activities are ongoing and all submissions are promptly reviewed. Please contact John Snodgrass, Executive Director at (843) 785-5565 for details and questions regarding the ARB application process.
Applications may be picked up at the Associations' office at any time. Or, we can email you the application and fee schedule in Microsoft Word format upon request.
