About Me
My name is Frank D. Heckart. I served on the USS Le Ray Wilson DE-414 from September 1954 to May 1956 as a Gunner's Mate. I am working with several other crew members to plan a reunion some time in the near future and would like to hear from any one who serviced on the Wilson or their family members that would like to received information on a reunion. My Online Life
I now live just out side of Natalia, Texas about 35 miles southwest of San Antonio. I am a member of the Destroyer Escort Sailors Association. I am also a charter member in bring the USS Slater DE-766 home from Greece in 1995. The Slater is being restored in Albany, New York at this time.

My Interests
I have been working on the USS Stewart DE-238 down in Galveston, Texas to do what I can to help keep in a presentable condition for those who never served on a Destroyer Escort let alone see one.
