FOR SEVERAL YEARS THERE WAS A HUGE COLLECTION OF ROCK & ROLL AND NASCAR MEMORABILIA JUST SITTING IN MACON, GEORGIA..........
HI, I'M KAREN (FEATHERS) DAVIES. MY LATE HUSBAND WAS JOE (JED) DAVIES. HE WORKED AS A ROADIE FOR THE BAND GRINDERSWITCH IN THE LATE SEVENTIES AND EARLY EIGHTIES AND HE WAS AN AVID NASCAR FAN AND PHOTOGRAPHER. I HAVE BEEN PHOTOGRAPHING BANDS SINCE THE EARLY SEVENTIES. BETWEEN THE TWO OF US, WE AMASSED THIS HUGE COLLECTION OF PHOTOS, POSTERS, PASSES ETC.
THEN A TRAGEDY STRUCK. JED WAS KILLED IN AN AUTO ACCIDENT AFTER PHOTOGRAPHING A CONCERT IN 1991. AS TIMES GO BY, YOU NEED TO GET ON WITH YOUR LIFE. AFTER A HARD AND LONG PERIOD OF ADJUSTMENT I DID JUST THAT. IN MARCH OF '99 I REMARRIED, TO A MOST WONDERFUL AND UNDERSTANDING MAN (L.W., I LOVE YOU.) AND SINCE THE SHOW MUST GO ON, I AM READY TO SHARE THE LOST COLLECTION WITH THE WORLD WIDE WEB.
