Rules for exchanging e-mail in Ethiopic

1. You must be using a program that allows you to change fonts or use multiple fonts.
a. Eudora e-mail in Windows
b. AOL's e-mail V2.7.
c. Lotus Notes, etc...
 

2. You must have the fonts loaded in your system. If you do not have the fonts, you can download GeezNet font to view your mail sent by a Feedel program user

3. If you do not have e-mail program that does not allow you to change fonts, you have two choices
 
A. Copy and paste from Word processor
  • Type your e-mail in Word Pad, Write or any word processing program. Copy all text and paste it into your e-mail program.
  • Alert receiver that he should copy text of the message and paste it into his word processor and change the font to read it.
    • B. Attach file with E-Mail
  • Type your Messages and save the file. (Preferably use a program that the receiver is certain to have the program. Write for Win 3.1 and Word Pad for Windows 95 are suggested)
  • Compose e-mail in your regular program alerting that a file is attached.
  • Attach the file to your e-mail and send your e-mail to recipient.
  • Recipient will download the attached file and he will be able to read it once he opens it.
  • You can attach files of any type (excel, PageMaker, Word, WordPerfect). You must be, however, certain that the recipient has the same programs.
