Begins/Ends at Hastings Middle School, School St.
10k & 5k TAC sanctioned races through the streets of historical Fairhaven. Features as many as 700 top New England runners. Cash Prizes.

American History Costume Parade &
Fort Phoenix Independence Celebration
Friday, July 4, 2008, 9:30 a.m.
Parade route: Green Street
from Cushman Park to Fort Phoenix
Costume parade, which also includes vintage vehicles, military groups and more. At Fort Phoenix, there is a brief ceremony followed by a gun salute by costumed historical re-enactors and the firing of the fort's five Civil War era cannon. Free. Sponsored by the Fairhaven Office of Tourism.

Our Lady of Angels Feast Grounds, 7 Jesse Street
Annual Portuguese feast includes Portuguese and American foods, live entertainment, auctions and more. On Monday there is a religious procession on Main Street from St. Mary's Church to Benoit Square. Sponsored by the Our Lady of Angels Catholic Association.

Fort Phoenix Days Weekend Encampment

Fort Phoenix, Fort Street
Men, women and children from the Fairhaven Village Militia portray camp life during the Revolutionary War period. Demonstrations of musket firing, tomahawk throwing, spinning and domestic arts, camp cooking, childrens games and more.

Parade starts at Benoit Square and travels north on Main Street to Fairhaven High School where a brief ceremony is held.

Locations throughout town
A weekend of holiday activities including fairs, marketplaces, musical entertainment, sing-alongs, a Dickens reading, Victorian tea and more. About 30 Fairhaven groups participate. Organized by the Fairhaven Office of Tourism.
