COME FEEL THE DIFFERENCE!

Excerpts from: Salvation, The Roman Road? Or, the Jerusalem Road?

The “Roman Road Plan of Salvation” of acknowledging oneself to be a sinner, accepting Jesus as Lord and Saviour, and reciting the words to a version of the “sinner’s prayer” is certainly commendable. However, as an extension of the First Century Church (the Apostles’ Doctrine), we go beyond the Roman Road, and introduce people to the “Jerusalem Road Plan of Salvation”. And, here’s a brief overview:

Step 1) Repentance of sins. Jesus said in Luke 13:3 "... except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." And He COMMANDED in Luke 24:47 that REPENTANCE AND REMISSION OF SINS should be preached in HIS NAME among ALL nations, BEGINNING at Jerusalem.

Step 2) Water Baptism by immersion in the name of Jesus for the remission of sins, invoking the NAME that was alluded to in Matthew 28:19 (Father, Son and Holy Ghost are “titles” NOT names). AND, in agreement with the Great Commission in action as recorded in Acts 2:36-39; Acts 8:12-17; Acts 10:44-48 and Acts 19:1-6. Jesus, who knew no sin, traveled over 50 miles to be baptized of John the Baptist, and also said in Mark 16:16 "He that believeth AND is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." Therefore, baptism IS a requirement ... NOT an option.

Step 3) Being born again (the Bible way). Many are told that they have been endued with power from on high (been born again) the moment they believe and/or are baptized. However, in Acts 8:12-17; Acts 19:1-6; and Acts 10:44-48 we find where people received the Holy Ghost both BEFORE they were baptized and AFTER they were baptized and AFTER they believed. So, believing and being baptized doesn't mean a person has automatically been endued with power from on high. Paul asked 12 disciples of John the Baptist in Acts 19:1-6 “Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed?” and went on to “re-baptize” them in the name of Jesus.

For more info see: Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed?

Also, many are told they have been endued with power from on high (been born again), and that it is merely accepted by faith. However, that doesn't harmonize with the PREPONDERANCE of Scriptural evidence found written VERBATIM on the pages of God's Holy Word concerning being born again (the Bible way).

God’s Word warns us about the many dangers of the last days, which is why all of us should pay special attention to Bible "doctrine" ... what thus saith the Word of the Lord. Therefore, a serious Bible student and/or believer MUST pay very close attention to "doctrine", which is why we should ALWAYS examine the "verbatim" Word of God AND the “preponderance" of Scriptural evidence on any subject of study in the Word of God.

According to ... and in agreement with ... Acts 2:36-39; Acts 8:12-17; Acts 10:44-48 and Acts 19:1-6, our message is the same as was embraced, preached, practiced and taught (verbatim) by the “footprint” followers of our Lord, and the “original” New Testament Church leaders. The Truth in its entirety ... NOT in part.

While God may not be “programmed” into a service, we believe He can definitely be programmed out of one. Therefore, our services are not professional productions designed just to draw a crowd. Instead, spontaneous, heart felt worship is what you will find. Jesus said in John 4:23, “... the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.”

Come see if we aren’t the friendliest Church you’ve ever seen, and our services to be as refreshing as an oasis in the desert. Pastor Roberson and our entire church family extends to you a very warm and cordial welcome.

Regardless of where you are,
