Echo, A Rock and Roll Tragedy

This is a classic tragedy, through a modern, rock and roll eye. The story takes place on March 30th, 1981, in Hollywood. (The day Reagan was shot.) It is about a lady who finds herself alone on the streets of Hollywood after a brutal childhood. In a lot of ways she is heroic, going from homeless, as a teen, with nothing, to the top of her profession, with a home in the Hollywood Hills, money in the bank, and all of the material stuff; but the profession is porn, for her sex isn't associated with love, she feels that nobody really cares, and she doesn't care about herself, she has a monkey on her back the size of King Kong, and to top it off, drug dealers are out to kill her. Her first love, now a rock and roll d.j., from whom she was separated by tragic reasons, and whom has had problems of his own, including a recent divorce, comes back into her life, and together they almost live happily ever after; however this is a tragedy, and sometimes when one travels too far down the wrong road, one can't make it back. A little good old fashioned hamartia, and a tragic twist of fate, makes this a film Shakespeare would have cheered for, or might have made himself if he were to make a film circa 1981, Hollywood. This film will have great music, and an excellent c.d. soundtrack. This film will be rated "R."

"But, for their virtue only is their show, They live unwoo'd, and unrespected fade; Die to themselves. Sweet roses do not so; Of their sweet deaths are sweetest odours made: And so of you, beautious and lovely youth, When that shall fade, by verse distills your truth."   William Shakespeare, Sonnets LIV.
