Two moons, Phobos and Deimos, which are named after the two dogs of the Roman god Mars. Both probably once astorieds caught in Mar's gravitational field.
Phobos
Orbits at a distance of 5627 miles. Innermost of the two moons.
So close to the planet that the radius of its orbit is decreasing by 6 ft per century. It will crash into the surface in 40 million years or break apart to form a ring.
Shape is irregular and larger that Deimus.
Most distinctive feature is a crater known as Stickney. Due to this impact the moon almost shattered.
Deimos

Irregular shape. Smallest known moon in the Solar System.
