DARKNESS TO LIGHT
Pressures are increasing. . .
Everybody is on the run,
Unity is decreasing. . .
Little time for honest fun.
No consideration for the next guy,
Too busy being high,
Selfish, afraid and preoccupied,
Friendship and love being denied.
Can't see the light,
For the darkness is thick,
Too many are blindly sick.
Encouragement to improve
Would be the wisest move.
Confidence to go beyond
Needs to be very strong.
Take the young under your wing,
Show them the song of life to sing,
Help the old; they've paid their dues;
Knowledge and wisdom, ours to use.
Can't see the light,
For the darkness is thick,
Too many are blindly sick.
Good concepts still may flourish,
The mind can still be nourished,
Honesty plays an important part,
Look into yourself, that's a good start.
Love yourself . . . love will come.
Respect yourself . . . respect will be won.
Avail yourself . . . unity will grow.
Decide your destiny . . . it will be so.
You can lift the fog,
Let the light seep through,
You'll be amazed by what you can do.
Yes, you can win as others have done,
Stop casting your fate to the Sun!
Let go the darkness, start anew. . .
Your world designed by none other than you.
