Wondering, How to Know Jesus?

There is something you need to know
You need to know that there is a problem that has separated you from God. It's called sin. God says in the Bible, "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23)
There is a Grand Canyon between you and God, and you can do nothing to bridge that gap. Joining the church, being good, getting baptized, going through confirmation, or simply attending church won't do it. The part of you that could have a relationship with God is dead because of sin. Something must happen to change this condition.
There is something you need to believe!
You must believe that God's own Son, Jesus Christ did something to build a bridge between you and God. Someone has said that Jesus is "no less that God come to our rescue." The Bible says that Jesus Christ "Died for sins once for all, the righteous (that's Jesus) for the unrighteous (that's you and me), to bring you to God" (1 Peter 3:18)
When Jesus died on the cross, God did what was necessary to bring us back to Himself. "He saved us, not because of righteous we have done, but because of His mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirt" (Titus 3:5) With your head (your intelect) and with your heart (your will and emotions) you must believe that Jesus died on the cross for your sins and that He rose from the dead three days later.
There is something you must do
Such a change requires a decision on your part. No one is born a Christian; you must become one. "To all who received Him (Jesus), to those believe in His name, He gave the right to become children of God" (John 1:12). There is a point in time when you need to receive Jesus Christ into your life.
How do you receive Him? A "you turn" is required. To begin a new life you turn away from whatever you have been counting on to get you to heaven- because anything else is unacceptable and sinful to God. At the same time you turn to Jesus in faith that He alone can give you a new life, one that pleases God and assures you of Heaven.
Here's God's word on it- "Whoever who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved" (Romans 10:13). You can call on the Lord by talking to Him in prayer. Right now you can receive Jesus Christ into your life. Why don't you stop and call on Him now? You can pray this prayer as a guide if it helps:
Jesus Christ I know that you are the Son of God. I know that you came in the flesh and died and rose from the dead for me.I am a sinner I am sorry for my sins and confess them to you. I accept you as my Lord and savior. I know that I'm unworthy of your mercy, But I'm asking you to forgive me of my many sins. I believe you will save me now, In your name I give my life to you now. Amen.
