Know all men by these presents that we Stephen Hicks and Samuel Graham are held and firmly bound unto James Barbour Esquire Governor of Virginia for the time being in the sum of $150.00 to the payment where of will and truly to be made to the Governor his successors. We bind ourselves and each of us over and each of our heirs Executors & Jointly and Severally firmly by these presents. Sealed and dated this 27th day of January 1814 and in the 38th year of the commonwealth.
