Unfortunately, Campaign Ends
Senator Bob Graham has decided to retire from the U.S. Senate effective January 2005, and he has also terminated his bid for the U.S. Presidency.  Hopefully, he will be on a winning Democratic ticket come November 2004.

Bob Graham: Not your typical politician!
In 1974, Bob Graham was a Florida State Senator when a teacher at Carol City High School in Graham's district complained that politicians were too detached from the education system to be capable of making sound education policy from Tallahassee.  Upon hearing this, Bob Graham decided to volunteer to teach at the High School.  In fact, he voluntarily taught High School civics for an entire 18-week semester!
Bob Graham: 2001 Legislator of the Year (National Council on the Aging)
Senator Bob Graham has been very active in elderly policy.  This award recognized Senator Graham for his Medicare Reform Act (a prescription drug benefit that received 52 votes), Medicare Wellness Act, and Social Services Block Grant Restoration Act (a program that provides services in elderly Americans' homes).  The award was also given to Senator Graham because he co-authored the Long-Term Care and Retirement Security Act that aids caregivers with a $3000 tax credit.  Senator Graham's congressional work for the elderly has always been extensive, but these pieces of legislation were in 2001 alone!
Bob Graham: Seasoned Statesman
Five-for-five in statewide elections, two-term governor (term-limited), three-term Senator, defeated incumbent Republican in initial Senate race in 1986.  Floridians already love him.  Now it's time for the rest of the nation to get to know the Daniel Robert Graham we just like to call "Bob."
